Elevators out at Powell Street Station 10/17 to 11/4

We will begin work to replace the floors in the elevator at Powell Street Station that serves the street level on Monday, 10/17 through Friday, 10/21. We will be upgrading the splash guards and flooring in the elevator to prevent liquid from flowing under the floor and to make cleaning the elevator easier.

We will also replace the doors on the elevator to the platform for all trains. We will replace the interior doors as well as the doors at each level. Once the door work is done, we will begin replacing the floors on this elevator (the jobs cannot be done at the same time). This work should be completed 11/4.

There will be no elevator service at the station from 10/17 to 11/4. If you need to use an elevator for access, you will have to go to an adjacent station. If you arrive at any station and find that the elevator(s) are out of service, you may contact a Station Agent to arrange for a lift van to take you to a nearby station with a working elevator.

To check if an elevator is in service before arriving at a station, please call 510-834-LIFT (510-834-5438) or 888-2-ELEVAT (888-235-3828), or sign up for elevator status alerts at www.bart.gov/elevators.

We apologize for the great inconvenience this will cause you and appreciate your patience while we perform this important maintenance work.
