Elevators out at 24th Street Station 10/17 to 11/4

On Monday, 10/17 we will begin work to replace the flooring on the elevator that serves the 24th Street Station from Mission Street. This work should be completed by Friday, 10/21. We will be upgrading the splash guards and flooring in the elevator to prevent liquid from flowing under the floor and to make cleaning the elevator easier.

We will also work to replace the doors on the elevator from the concourse level to the platform beginning 10/17. We will replace the interior doors as well as the doors at each level. Once the door work is finished, we will replace the flooring in this elevator (the work cannot be done at the same time).

There will be no elevator service at the station from 10/17 to 11/4. If you need to use an elevator for access, you will have to go to an adjacent station. If you arrive at a station and find that the elevator(s) are out of service, you may contact a Station Agent to arrange for a lift van to take you to a nearby station with a working elevator.

To check if an elevator is in service before arriving at a station, please call 510-834-LIFT (510-834-5438) or 888-2-ELEVAT (888-235-3828), or sign up for elevator status alerts at www.bart.gov/elevators.

We apologize for the great inconvenience this will cause you and appreciate your patience.
