All elevators out at Richmond 1/23 to 1/27

On Monday, 1/23 we will begin work to replace the floors on all the elevators at Richmond Station including the elevator to the Amtrak platform. There will be no elevator service at this station from 1/23-1/27.

We will be upgrading the splash guards and flooring in the elevators to prevent liquid from flowing under the floor and to make cleaning the elevator easier.

BART customers, if you need to use an elevator for access, you will have to go to the adjacent station, El Cerrito del Norte. Or, you may contact a Station Agent to arrange for a lift van to take you to a nearby station with a working elevator.

Capitol Corridor/Amtrak customers going to SF can proceed to Emeryville for a bus connection (requires booking ticket to SF) or to the Oakland Coliseum station for a BART connection.

To check if an elevator is in service before arriving at a station, please call 510-834-LIFT (510-834-5438) or 888-2-ELEVAT (888-235-3828), or sign up for elevator status alerts at www.bart.gov/elevators.

We apologize for the great inconvenience this will cause you and appreciate your patience while we perform this important maintenance work.
