Use 19th Street Station for the Kamala Harris Rally, Sunday January 27 at Frank Ogawa Plaza Oakland

Use 19th Street Station for the Kamala Harris Rally, Sunday January 27 at Frank Ogawa Plaza Oakland

The rally is scheduled to start at noon on Sunday, but the City of Oakland will begin preparations for the rally Saturday night, and Oakland Police will be closing off streets in the area including parts of Broadway, Clay, and 14th.

BART recommends you exit at our 19th Street station for the rally as the Frank Ogawa exit and the 14th street exit at 12th Street Station will be closed. The 12th Street Station will be open but we will be down these two exits/entrances. To help with crowd control we are asking riders to use 19th street.  We will run extra trains at the end of the event to help people leave the area, as is routine with large events.

To avoid lines, we suggest you purchase round-trip tickets in advance or load enough value on your Clipper Card for a round-trip—you’ll save $.50 each way.

Stay safe. Please be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activities by calling 911 or BART Police at 510-464-7000 or using the BART Watch App.

Delays for Single-tracking through Union City 1/27

We will be replacing rails on the track through this area from start of service until 2pm on Sunday, January 27, 2019. This is part of our Measure RR work to upgrade and replace our aging infrastructure.

Expect 20 to 40-minute delays between Warm Springs and South Hayward. Please plan your trip to account for the delays if you are traveling through this area.
