Rockridge and Warm Springs monthly permit payment and waitlist moves to the official BART app

Reserving parking at Rockridge and Warm Springs stations is now available through the BART official app. Rockridge and Warm Springs customers will need to transition from Select-aSpot to the official app to purchase monthly reserved, single day reserved, and multi day (previously known as Airport/Long Term) reserved spaces. This includes the process of joining the monthly reserve wait list. Transition deadlines are outlined below for each use case.

Reserved parking has previously been known as permit parking at BART, but with this transition to the official app, a printed out permit or hang tag will no longer be required. Payment for monthly reserve and single/multiple day reserve spaces will be made within the app and your license plate will be registered and used to verify payment by parking enforcement officers.

Beginning June 1st, Select-a-Spot paper permits will not be accepted at these stations.

The reserved parking feature is currently available at Rockridge and Warm Springs, and will be made available at all stations throughout this summer.

Customers with monthly permits

Customers with current monthly reserved parking at these two stations must register for the new app-based feature by May 14, 2021 to continue enrollment in BART’s monthly reserved parking program:

  1. Download the BART Official App from the Apple App Store or Google Play store; if you already have the app, make sure you have the latest version.

  1. Using the same email address you use with Select-a-Spot, create an account or sign into the app. Select the parking tab and the monthly reserved parking button.  Be sure to use the same email address you use with Select-a-Spot so the system recognizes you and loads your information correctly.

  1. Claim your reserved parking! You will be prompted to three screens in the monthly reserved parking feature - (A) Add payment details (B) Review license plate, auto-populated from Select-a-Spot (make sure it is correct as this is how we check your parking is valid), and (C) Review/Add phone number.  After you go through these screens, you will know you’ve successfully claimed your monthly reserved parking when you see it listed under  “Active Reservations”.

Current Select-a-Spot monthly permits are valid through May 31, 2021; users will be charged through the official app on May 15, 2021 for June’s monthly reserved parking.

Customers on the monthly waitlist

Customers on a monthly waitlist at these two stations must create an account within the BART official app by May 14th, 2021 to maintain the same waitlist position spot they currently have.

  1. Download the BART Official App from the Apple App Store or Google Play store; if you already have the app, make sure you have the latest version.
  2. Using the same email address you use with Select-a-Spot, create an account or sign into the app. Be sure to use the same email address you use with Select-a-Spot so the system recognizes you and loads your information correctly.
  3. Create an account and see your waitlist spot. You should have the same waitlist position as the position you’re currently at with Select-a-Spot. When reserved parking becomes available, you will get an email notification and 7 days to claim your monthly reserved parking.
