Dublin/Pleasanton Station garage closed for lighting improvements starting 9/7

On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, the garage at Dublin/Pleasanton Station will be closed in phases for approximately eight weeks to allow our contractor to retrofit and upgrade the garage lighting. Level 1 will remain open during Phase 1 of the project. Levels 2-4 will be open during Phase 2. Surface lots will also remain available for parking throughout the construction. (See maps).  Data shows there will be ample parking for current ridership levels during the closure. Staff will monitor and if additional spaces are needed, the closure will be adjusted accordingly up to and including a shift to night work to enable full parking in the garage during the day.

This is part of a larger lighting improvement project that will upgrade and improve the lighting in 14 of our station garages throughout the system. This program will replace over 10,500 fixtures and add new lighting controls that will make the lighting in the garages more energy efficient, brighter, and in keeping with our sustainability goals.

Dublin/Pleasanton is the eleventh garage in the project. The rest of the garages will follow until the project is completed in the first quarter of 2022. We will provide updates as necessary during the project.

The 14 station garages that are part of this project are: Hayward, Walnut Creek (BART-owned only), Millbrae, Fruitvale, Daly City, Pleasant Hill, Concord, San Bruno, MacArthur, Colma, Dublin/Pleasanton, Richmond, El Cerrito Del Norte, and South San Francisco.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
