BART Police hosting National Night Out at seven BART stations 8/3/21

BART Police will be hosting National Night Out at seven BART stations on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 5pm-8pm.

The public is invited the attend these family-friendly events with games, giveaways, and BART safety tips held in the free area of the following stations:

  • Rockridge
  • Fruitvale
  • Pleasant Hill
  • Castro Valley
  • 24th Street Mission
  • Glen Park
  • Berryessa/North San Jose

BART Police is pulling out all the stops with the Castro Valley BART Station National Night Out event featuring a petting zoo, music, food, local vendor and more. In addition, Costco donated 75 backpacks to give out at the Castro Valley event.

With more riders returning to BART as offices and the economy reopens, these events are a great way to connect with BART Police and our new Progressive Policing and Community Engagement Bureau to talk about safety on our system and crime prevention tips.

BART Police has been actively focused on implementing equitable policing practices for more than a decade and to strengthen relationships with the diverse communities we serve. These events reflect our commitment to community policing by bringing riders and neighbors together with law enforcement to foster positive relationships and communication.
