BART ready for Giants playoff games and Fleet Week this weekend in SF

Riders can take BART to Giants playoff home games and Fleet Week activities in San Francisco this weekend. BART’s expansion of service in August increased service hours for the system six days a week. That means trains will be running until midnight this Friday and Saturday when the Giants host their first two playoff games.

BART plans to offer three event trains this Sunday to bolster capacity for the Fleet Week Air Show at Marina Green. Those additional event trains will be added to the Sunday service plan based on real-time demand. Riders can take advantage of plenty of available parking at many BART stations. Parking is free at BART after 3 pm on weekdays and throughout weekends (except Milpitas and Berryessa/North San Jose stations, whose parking lots are operated by VTA). BART closes early on Sunday (around 9pm) so be sure the check the schedule.

BART will be performing critical rail replacement work this Sunday in Contra Costa County (10/10) that will require service to be reduced to one track between Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill. Delays are expected to be 10-15 minutes and isolated to the work area. Riders can avoid those work-related delays entirely by going to the Lafayette or Orinda stations.
