Balboa Park Station staircase closed for improvements starting 3/3/2022
UPDATE March 9, 2022: The closure window has been extended. The stairwell now expected to reopen by Friday, March 18, 2022.
As part of improvements being made at Balboa Park Station, we will close the stairway at the southern entrance to the station (marked in red in map below) from Thursday, March 3, 2022 until Wednesday, March 9, 2022 (alternate entrances are marked in green in map). During the closure, the stair treads will be replaced.
Temporary wayfinding signs will be installed to assist customers to an alternate station entrances. Barriers will be installed around work areas to keep riders and staff safe from construction activities.
