North Berkeley Station: access improvements March 2022 update

Construction for the North Berkeley Access Improvements Project is in progress. The project, which began in November 2021, includes bicycle and pedestrian access improvements in the satellite parking lots to the northwest of the station as well as the main station area. For questions, comments and details of the scope of work, visit bart.gov/nberkeleybike.

Most of the work in Phase 1A has been completed, and the BART Construction Team will begin work at the Acton Street/North Access intersection in late March 2022. Work will take place and require permanent closure to north vehicular entrances to the West parking lot of the station (see map). The West parking lot will remain open, and can be accessed via the south entrances.

Most work will be carried out between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm with occasional weekend work.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this important work.
