Weekend single tracking in Union City for power cable replacement

BART workers need to perform urgent cable replacement work in southern Alameda County to ensure trains on that part of the system have a reliable feed of electricity. The work will take place near Union City Station and will require that service be reduced to one track in the area.

The next day for the work is Sunday, July 10. Riders should expect delays of 15-20 minutes as well as Orange Line (Richmond-Berryessa/North San Jose) service only as the Green Line (Berryessa/North San Jose-Daly City) will be cancelled.

This cable replacement work is supported by Measure RR, which was approved by BART District voters in 2016 and provides $3.5 billion to rebuild the backbone of the system.
