BART will run a Sunday schedule on Labor Day, 9/5/22

On Monday, September 5, 2022, BART will be running a Sunday schedule (8am-midnight) as we observe Labor Day. We will run five-line service until 8pm with 30-minute frequencies on all lines, and then three-line service after 8pm.

Five-line service means all lines will be running including Red and Green lines which provide direct service into San Francisco. Green Line service will be limited between Daly City and South Hayward Stations. (More information below)

Parking will be free at all BART stations on Labor Day, except Milpitas and Berryessa/North San Jose stations, which are operated by VTA.

For the most up-to-date schedule information use our Trip Planner or our official BART app to plan your specific trip.

For the weekend of September 3-5, BART trains may be running 5-10 minutes behind schedule due to expected extreme heat. Please plan for delays in advance.

Free buses replace trains between South Hayward and Union City on Labor Day weekend

From Saturday, September 3, until Monday, September 5, BART will close train service between South Hayward and Union City stations. Free buses will replace trains and riders should plan to add 20-25 minutes to their trips. Bicycles are welcome on the bus bridge. AC Transit buses typically have a capacity of three bicycles per bus.

To avoid the track shutdown impacts altogether, consider finding alternative transportation or parking at South Hayward Station.

A large construction project is now underway in southern Alameda County. Crews are replacing critical trackway components between the South Hayward and Union City BART stations as well as advancing preliminary work to create a new storage facility at the Hayward Maintenance Complex for hundreds of Fleet of the Future cars.

Riders traveling northbound on the Orange Line from Berryessa are reminded the last train on Monday will be 11:29 pm. The Green Line (Berryessa/North San Jose-Daly City) will not operate between Union City and Berryessa all day Monday. The Orange Line (Berryessa/North San Jose-Richmond) will operate every 30 minutes, and arrival times may differ from the printed schedule. Please check the BART Trip Planner to see the scheduled departure times between Berryessa and Union City on these weekends.
