Walnut Creek Station: new vehicle entrance to open on November 10

As part of ongoing construction of the Walnut Creek Transit Village at Walnut Creek Station, a new vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian entrance to the station will open on Thursday, November 10, 2022. The new entrance is slightly farther north of the existing entrance on North California Blvd. The pedestrian sidewalk will be on the northwest side of the new road.

This will be the only station entrance via North California Blvd. The existing entrance will permanently close on the same date (see map). Banners will be posted at each entrance to direct customers.

All other stations entrances will remain open, as will the pedestrian pathway between the BART station and the intersection of Ygnacio Valley Rd. and N. California Blvd.

The Walnut Creek Transit Village will consist of approximately 596 multi-family housing units, 27,000 square feet of retail space, a new BART zone command police facility, and a new intermodal bus facility.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve access to the BART Station.
