Single tracking alert: Yellow Line work between Pleasant Hill and Concord on 3 Sundays

BART service will be reduced to one track on three upcoming Sundays so workers can replace concrete ties between Pleasant Hill and Concord stations. The work will happen all day on the following Sundays: April 23, April 30, and May 7. Riders should anticipate delays of 15-20 minutes in the area on those Sundays. San Francisco or Oakland bound riders who wish to avoid the single tracking area should start their journeys in Pleasant Hill. Full details on work impacts will be loaded into BART’s Trip Planner.

The work between Pleasant Hill and Concord stems from last year’s derailment on this portion of the trackway. Earlier plans to replace the remaining ties were delayed due to weather.
