Parking rate changes effective January 1, 2026
Starting January 1, 2026, BART parking rates will be changing to reflect inflation and demand-based adjustments, in line with BART’s Parking Pricing Policy.
- Daily Fee Parking: Rates will increase by 40 cents at most stations for inflation. At high-demand stations (Glen Park, MacArthur, Rockridge, and Walnut Creek), rates will increase by 30% per policy.
- Reserved Parking (Monthly and Single/Multi-day): Prices will increase at three high-demand stations (Millbrae, San Bruno, and Walnut Creek). Prices will decrease at nine lower-demand stations (Colma, Concord, El Cerrito del Norte, Dublin/Pleasanton, Fremont, Pittsburg/Bay Point, Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre, South San Francisco, and West Dublin/Pleasanton). Seven stations (Bay Fair, Coliseum, Hayward, North Concord/Martinez, Richmond, South Hayward, and Warm Springs/South Fremont) will have small increases due to inflation.
All transactions made on or after January 1, 2026, will reflect the new prices. Any reservations (Single/Multi-Day or Monthly Reserved) made before January 1, 2026, regardless of reservation dates, will reflect the price at time of purchase. Current monthly parking holders’ reservations will be renewed on January 15 for February and will be charged at the new prices.
BART’s current funding model heavily relies on fares and parking fees to run service and provide maintenance and police patrols in our parking areas.
