RSVP to join BART’s General Manager on a walking tour to explore the New BART
Space is limited, and participation is free. Reserve your spot at bartgmtour.eventbrite.com. Once the cap is reached, we’ll maintain a waitlist if spots open.
On Thursday, August 20, BART General Manager Bob Powers leads a free walking tour of three stations, spotlighting fresh upgrades and the art and architecture that define each stop. Special guest speakers will join the nearly three-hour walking tour to discuss station history, design, engineering, and partnerships.
The three stations have distinct features and histories:
- Powell St anchors a major transit and tourist hub.
- Glen Park is a historic landmark tucked into a residential neighborhood.
- San Bruno connects a burgeoning business district to an international airport
General Manager Powers will highlight aspects of the New BART experience and discuss how the design of each station is in conversation with the communities around them.
Whether you ride BART every day or are curious to know more about the system, this tour offers a special, up-close look through the eyes of the person leading it.
