Single Tracking Alert: Service reduced to one track at midnight on Thursday, March 5 between Coliseum and Bay Fair stations for track work

(3/5/2026 Update) The work that had been planned for March 4th was postponed to Thursday, March 5. Riders should expect delays of 15-20 minutes starting at midnight tonight in the work area. The work is expected to be complete in time for the start of regular Friday morning service.

Service will be reduced from two tracks to one starting at midnight on Wednesday, March 4 between Coliseum and Bay Fair stations so BART crews can replace a component of one of our interlockings. Interlockings are essential parts of the BART system that allow trains to safely move from line to line. Riders should expect delays of 15-20 minutes from midnight until the normal end of service overnight. The work is expected to be completed in time for the start of regular Thursday morning service.
