From engineers and electricians to maintenance techs and financial analysts, it takes a wide range of expertise to keep BART running. National Transit Career Day, led by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), celebrates the many career paths that make public transportation possible and encourages people to explore opportunities in transit.

BART is joining transit agencies nationwide on Thursday, November 12, to connect with the public and highlight mission-critical careers that help keep trains running and service moving. These roles are essential to BART’s daily operations, and filling open positions is necessary to deliver reliable service.

As part of this national event, BART is proud to partner with local workforce boards, OneStop career centers, and higher education institutions to provide the community with comprehensive job-readiness resources and educational tracks.
