BART Police save teenaged girl by arresting suspected kidnapper

Quick work by the BART Police Department, in partnership with the San Francisco Police Department, last night ensured the safety of a teenage girl and landed a suspected kidnapper in custody.

Shortly after 8:00 pm  BART Police received a call regarding a juvenile female victim who was forcibly removed from the Powell Street Station by an adult male and pulled into a vehicle.

Witness statements confirmed the initial report and surveillance video from Powell Street Station showed the incident, including the suspect forcibly removing the female from the station.

The parents of the teen filed a missing persons report shortly afterward.

At about 3:00 am San Francisco Police located the suspect and an associated vehicle. BART police took 37-year-old Jamall Blue into custody.

The missing juvenile was also located early this morning and she was referred to the appropriate juvenile services.
