Suspect arrested following fatal shooting at Civic Center Station

On Thursday, February 10, 2022, at around 8:30pm there was a fatal shooting at Civic Center Station, and it was BART’s increased police presence not just at Civic Center, but officers assigned to ride trains, that led to the immediate arrest of the suspect and immediate retrieval of evidence and video

Mediators announce no strike Tues., Oct. 15

The federal mediators assisting negotiations between BART and the two unions representing their employees, announced this morning that at their request negotiations are continuing under their auspices.
