Elevator Outage Options

IF PLATFORM 1 (ANTIOCH) ELEVATOR IS OUT OF SERVICE AND RIDER IS:

• ARRIVING FROM THE STREET (rider cannot access trains)
  • Rider should backtrack to Walnut Creek and board desired train. Use Platform 2 elevator. 
  • Alternative Option: Rider can take County Connection to another BART station. The closest station is Walnut Creek.
  • If the Platform 2 elevator is also out of service, rider could take County Connection to another station or request a Mitigation Trip. Walnut Creek is 2 miles walking/rolling.
• ARRIVING FROM THE PLATFORM (rider cannot exit platform)
  • Rider should continue on BART to Concord, then backtrack to Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre on next train. Exit using Platform 2 elevator.
  • Alternative Option: Rider can continue on BART to another station and take County Connection to destination. The closest station is Concord.
  • If the Platform 2 elevator is also out of service, rider could take County Connection from another station or request a Mitigation Trip. Walnut Creek is 2 miles walking/rolling.

IF PLATFORM 2 (SFO/MILLBRAE) ELEVATOR IS OUT OF SERVICE AND RIDER IS:

• ARRIVING FROM THE STREET (rider cannot access trains)
  • Rider should backtrack to Concord and board desired train. Use Platform 1 elevator.
  • Alternative Option: Rider can take County Connection to another BART station. The closest station is Walnut Creek.
  • If the Platform 1 elevator is also out of service, rider could take County Connection to another station or request a Mitigation Trip. Walnut Creek is 2 miles walking/rolling.
• ARRIVING FROM THE PLATFORM (rider cannot exit platform)

ENTERING PLEASANT HILL/CONTRA COSTA CENTRE STATION

The train platforms at the Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre Station are located on a raised platform. Concourse is on the street level.

There are two separate elevators for either San Francisco Airport (SFO), Millbrae bound trains or Pittsburg/Bay Point bound trains. Both separate elevators doors open inside the paid area. Press “P” for train platform level for either elevator.

At the train platform level, from either elevator, you will be approximately at the center of the train boarding area.

EXITING PLEASANT HILL/CONTRA COSTA CENTRE STATION

The train platforms at the Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre Station are located on a raised platform.

There are two separate elevators for either San Francisco Airport (SFO), Millbrae bound trains or Pittsburg/Bay Point bound trains. The elevators are located approximately at the center of the train platform boarding area. Press “C” for concourse level for either elevator.

When exiting from either elevator, you will be inside the paid area.
