Elevator Outage Options

In case of an elevator outage, use the following options or contact the station agent for assistance. Agents can arrange a ride to a different station in an accessible van if needed. 

STREET ELEVATOR 

• Can't enter station: Use Union Square Market Street Station elevators at Geary and Stockton (0.2 miles/ 2 blocks) to enter station. 
• Can't exit station: Use Union Square Market Street Station elevators to exit station. Follow signs to Union Square/Geary exit. 

PLATFORM ELEVATOR 

• Can't enter station: Go to the Civic Center Station street elevator on Market Street between Hyde and 7th Streets (0.5 miles / 5 blocks). Go to the island on Market at 5th to take the bus to Market at Hyde. 
• Can't exit station: Continue on train to exit at another station. The closest station is Montgomery St. (0.3 miles/ 3 blocks).
