Service restored at Lake Merritt; system recovering, some residual delays

Service has been restored in both directions bewteen Lake Merritt and Fruitvale stations and the system is recovering after earlier major delays due to a smoking cable. During the next several months, crews will be constructing a portion of a regional bicycle path on the eastern edge of the South San Francisco Station adjacent to Mission Road.
